Join us here and you’ll step into the biggest shopping market you can imagine, starting in the role of Graduate Trainee Assistant Buyer. Working alongside one of our buying teams such as Mens, Kids, Womenswear or Home, you’ll help find the next big thing before liaising with our internal teams to develop something ready to be sold in store.
As a Buyer, your diverse day job could involve a mix of briefing Designers, working with suppliers, trialling new products, or helping launch a product.
Throughout, you’ll get all the training you need, and after just 12 months you could be offered an Assistant Buyer role. From there, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility until you’re ready to become a fully-fledged Buyer, in charge of a specific department.
Ideally you’ll need a buying related degree, although we’ll consider other courses if you have relevant experience. You’ll also need to be confident, organised and comfortable working under pressure.

Learning and Development
We've plenty of learning opportunities both in store and at our Support Office, which vary according to your scheme. Whether you’re managing people in store, or a valued member of a Support Office team, you’ll be learning while you earn, shouldering real responsibilities and helping to tackle the ever-changing issues of the day. You will be given a specific area of responsibility or a project to manage yourself fairly early on - say yes, it's a great chance to shine.
While we‘ll provide the training tools and opportunities, it’s up to you to take advantage of them. You’ll be expected to use your initiative to identify learning needs specific to you – and have the motivation to meet these needs.
Theory's all well and good, but few plans survive contact with the customer. If you’re based in Support Office, you'll get hands-on, in-store experience through our store attachment programme. Depending on your graduate programme the attachment could be anything from one week to three months.
