Logistics Rewards and Benefits

Our list of benefits is as impressive (and almost as exhaustive) as our Plan A commitments. After all, you’ll be playing an important part in helping our customers and supporting our business, so it’s only fair that we thank you with a great array of rewards, not to mention a commitment to respect your life outside work. We're constantly reviewing the details of the package to make sure it's got everything our people want in a benefits scheme, but the things you'll be able to enjoy currently include:

We regularly check our salaries against other companies to make sure we’re competitive. In order to keep up with any changes in the market, we’ll review your basic pay every year. We also offer extra performance rewards to recognise individual achievement.

Working hours

When you join, you’ll be given a working pattern and your minimum committed weekly hours will be in your contract. To play your part, we ask for all employees to be flexible and your hours of work, shift/working pattern or rest breaks may be varied in order to meet the needs of our customers. Typically our distribution centres operate 365 days a year and if your basic hours fall on bank or public holidays, you'll be required to work if there is an operational need.

To recognise Christmas Day and New Years Day, in addition to basic pay, you will receive a premium for working these days, and you may also be eligible for a premium if you work any unsocial hours (subject always to the policies in place).

Employee discount

You'll get 20% discount on all in-store and online purchases. Some exclusions do apply but there’s no limit on the amount of goods you can buy with discount. What's more, we'll give a partner or family member who permanently lives with you the discount too!

You are entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks statutory holiday per year (including any bank holidays not worked). Obviously, if you work part-time this will be pro-rated.

When we do well financially, we want our people to feel the benefit too. So we have a number of discretionary bonus schemes on offer that reward our employees for helping us to reach our goals.

Nowadays, we’re all aware of how important it is to save for our retirement. At M&S, we want to help you along the way. As a minimum we offer an excellent Defined Contribution pension plan where if you contribute 3% of your pay M&S will contribute 6%. Legislation requires that in certain circumstances we will have to automatically enrol you into the scheme. For full details visit our YourMandSPension website.

Life Assurance

From day one, you receive life assurance cover to the value of two times your annual basic salary. (Some conditions do apply).

A fantastic way for you to save and share in the future success of M&S. By joining you can save any amount between £5 and £250 each month for three years, and at the end of three years you can buy shares at an exclusive 20% discounted price, which is set at the start of the scheme or you can get your money back. (Qualifying criteria do apply).

Salary Sacrifice

You can participate in salary sacrifice benefits which could save you money on tax and National Insurance including childcare vouchers, holiday buying and cycle to work. (Qualifying criteria and enrolment window do apply).

It’s not just in-store where you can benefit from generous discounts. When you join, you can take advantage of over 1,500 special discounts to help you save money every day, covering holidays, leisure attractions and many more products and services.

Heath & Wellbeing

At M&S your wellbeing is a big priority, and we want you to be the best you can be, that’s why we offer you discounted healthcare products and a wellbeing website with top tips and health guides, just to name a couple.
