Functional Area Managers

Making a success of a Logistics operation like ours relies on each area doing its bit – and having the leaders in place to drive great performance.

General overview

Our warehouses and distribution centres are divided up into different functional areas – and as you can imagine, each has its own team on hand to keep things running smoothly.

As one of our Functional Area Managers, you'll be leading one of those teams and, in the process, maximising the performance of your functional area.

In this case, functional areas include both boxed and hanging GM products, with the functions broadly split into inbound receiving to storage, storage and replenishment, picking, packing and outbound despatch.

Planning

In this role, you’ll be on hand to provide expertise and solutions in the areas of labour and capacity management, along with some performance management.

Applying your knowledge to forecasting and schedule planning technology, you’ll generate labour requirements, then liaise with our onsite agency staff service provider to make sure we’ve the resources we need to swing into action.

In addition, you’ll manage the time and attendance system, as well as inbound and outbound vehicle scheduling.
