Our Operatives team plays an essential role in helping us become a leading international, multi-channel retailer. Join them and you’ll make sure our products are where they need to be and get there in perfect condition.
You’ll apply your fast-thinking efficiency at our fully automated, state-of-the-art Castle Donington distribution centre. Its 900,000 sq ft holds up to 16 million products and it’s capable of processing a million items a day – so there’ll be plenty to get stuck into.
Together, our Warehouse and Administration Operatives and Operational Trainers make sure everything that leaves our distribution centre meets our stringent standards. So the right people get the right product. They also play an integral role in upholding our reputation for quality and reliability.
If you’re familiar with an automated environment, that’s a great start. We can help you build on this experience to achieve your potential as you help to transform our distribution network.
Warehouse Operative roles are available through our agency partners GI Group and Tailored Recruitment Services (TRS). To begin with, you’ll join on a temporary basis but there’s a chance, in time, your role could become permanent.
There’s a special work placement programme to help those who face barriers in gaining employment too. In partnership with Remploy, Marks & Start Logistics provides individual training and work experience to support people with disabilities and health conditions into work at our Castle Donington distribution centre.
Our Warehouse colleagues work as one big team to ensure everything runs smoothly at Castle Donington. From forklift truck driving, loading and unloading to picking and packing products ready for despatch, there’s always lots going on – so there’ll be plenty of opportunity to learn new skills too.
Initially, these opportunities are offered on a temporary basis with the potential for them to become permanent. To register and apply, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Our teams of Admin Operatives provide vital support to our inventory, planning and performance functions. This means you’ll play a key role in helping to further improve our Distribution operations by driving our capacities and identifying future constraints.
Data analysis and reporting on warehouse capabilities and stock levels are all part of the job and will help Head Office plan for the future. This also feeds into refining the key areas of product dispatch and replenishment.
Operations Trainers are essential in enabling continuous improvement – both in what we do and how we do it. As one of our Trainers, you will identify the operational training and development needs of your colleagues, then use your knowledge and experience to help teams and individuals develop new skills and abilities.
Working as an Operative
The strength of our Operative team lies in its diversity. Our warehouse colleagues are responsible for the picking, packing, loading and unloading of a huge range of products, making sure each and every store and customer gets exactly what it is they’re after.
