Flow Room

As part of our plan to transform our supply chain network, we’ve invested in some of the latest and very best in automation systems and technology.

Our Castle Donington site is fully mechanised and features industry-leading technology, including automated storage and retrieval systems, along with sophisticated warehouse management systems to guarantee delivery accuracy.

Of course, great technology is vital to our operations – but it wouldn’t amount to much without the right people there to monitor and control it. This is where our Flow Room team comes into its own.

Together, they oversee everything from system availability and efficiency to managing work flows and potential maintenance issues that may cause downtime.

About you

As well as a proven flow room track record, preferably within an automated environment, you’ll need a solid manufacturing background and, ideally, material handling systems monitoring experience.

A detailed understanding of the functionality and operation of warehouse control systems for automated distribution centres will also be very useful.

Flow Room Technicians

Join the Flow Room team as a Technician, and you’ll monitor all boxed and hanging automated systems, alert the onsite engineering team to faults, and make sure they’re dealt with appropriately.

Another important part of your role will be processing and monitoring all M&S orders, both store and e-commerce. This will be end-to-end, from the point of receipt through to despatch, and will mean investigating discrepancies and ensuring issues that affect our ability to deliver are sorted out as swiftly as possible.

Flow Room Management

You’ll be managing the onsite Flow Room team, making sure potential faults are spotted as soon as possible and resolved just as quickly.

As part of this, you’ll ensure all issues affecting the site are logged and escalated accordingly through to resolution, while managing a team of third-party IT engineers and coordinating their workload.
