Now I'm trading on our good looks
Store Visual Manager/Regional Store Visual Manager
Inspirational ranges deserve inventive displays. Creating the eye-catching, head-turning visual propositions to entice our customers will be down to you and your team of Visual Section Managers and stylists.
About the role
Your visual propositions will have real impact. This is your opportunity to bring a mix of creative vision and commercial understanding to your work. Both of these qualities will help you to devise original displays that wow our customers into buying. Your focus will always be on how to draw attention to our ranges. It's how you’ll get your stylist teams to think too, inspiring them with up-to-the-minute knowledge of what’s hot on the high street and beyond.
Of course, a big part of this is knowing what our competitors are up to, but what matters more than anything is how you interpret trends for the M&S customer. To that end, a lot of your success will be down to how you communicate store-level strategy to your team. You'll also have line management responsibility for Visual Section Managers.
To be one of our Store Visual Merchandising Managers, you’ll need an impressive level of experience and that all-important creative spark. Salaries range from £28k upwards, depending on your skills and experience, as well as the size of the stores you work in, or across.
If you’ve got experience managing a store but haven’t previously worked in a direct Line Management position, you may be better suited to the Visual Section Manager or Regional Visual Section Manager roles.
About the application process
The application process starts with an online application form. If you're successful, we'll invite you to a face-to-face assessment centre: this will involve various visual assessments and an interview with a line manager.
