Deli Manager

About you

An M&S Section Manager needs to be creative, commercial and an inspiring leader. So you will need to have the following:

  • People skills – adapting your style for both customers and internal colleagues
  • Leadership skills – you’ll need to take your team with you, leading the way through change when needed
  • Communication skills – make sure that your team understands why they are being asked to do what they need to do
  • Organisational skills – stay focused and effective at all times, particularly in our Food stores where you need to be on top of product expiry and delivery dates.

  • Have a behavioural-based telephone interview. (General Section Manager roles only)
  • Participate in a half day face-to-face assessment, which typically includes a business analysis presentation, coaching exercise and interview. Specialist roles naturally have assessments that are relevant to the responsibilities in these departments.
