You’ll be taking charge of a very big business. This means there’ll be a £multi-million operation to oversee, major budgets and P&L to manage and a detailed business strategy to roll out.
Then there’s your team. From Customer Assistants to Section Managers and everyone in between, you’ll be the one instilling a culture of exceptional service. Introducing our customers to the benefits of virtual shopping will be high on your list of priorities too - particularly since our inspiring interactive shopping experience has been rolled out across two thirds of our stores and will continue to grow.

The salary range for these roles is £28k upwards, depending on your experience and location.

Outstanding leadership skills, real commercial vision and am impressive business management mindset will all combine to make you a formidable talent.
Precisely where you join us – be it as a Fashion, Food or Home Commercial Manager or as a Food Hall Store or Commercial Manager – will very much depend on your type and level of experience, as well as the needs of our business.
About the application process
Once you’ve successfully applied online, we’ll review your CV and book you in for a telephone interview. Impress us enough over the phone, and we’ll invite you to one of our assessment centres. Over the course of around four hours, you’ll take part in two exercises – an analytical and a competency-based interview.
In the analytical exercise, you’ll be asked to spend 90 minutes analysing a broad range of business information, sales and costs P&L, market information, mystery shopper results and so on. You’ll then have to deliver a 15-minute presentation based on how you’d move the store forward in four key areas.
This is followed by a Q&A session before you complete your competency-based interview. This will be made up of a series of questions based on key business competencies.
On occasion, Commercial or Store Manager candidates are then seen at a second stage by a Head of Region for a one-to-one interview and informal floor walk.
