M&S.com is right at the heart of our ability to deliver the products our customers want through a service they love. As shopping habits continue to change, it has enabled our transformation into a truly multi-channel retailer. Milestones include the development of our own platform to gives us greater control; the creation of an E-Commerce distribution centre; international websites and in-store technologies to improve the customer experience. It has grown to deliver on sales objectives. It has led a revolution in digitising our business. It has been an unqualified success.

But as the digital world moves on, we’re moving forward too. M&S.com is in a perpetual state of evolution. We’re restructuring how we work. Aligning our digital capabilities with our wider product offering and further integrating teams into our broader business. This will allow us to make the most of the talents we have and focus more acutely on sales performance.

There is still, however, much to do. Keeping pace with the digital demands of the business will fall to a specialist team supported by the Software Engineering IT team. Together, they will secure our digital future.

And the reason we’re doing all this? Quite simply, we want to make sure our customers are the champions of everything we do. Customers have always been at the heart of M&S.com. We look at how they want to shop and respond to their behaviours. But not only do we want to make things as simple as possible for our customers, we’re striving to deliver a consistent experience across all our channels.
